Scottish Tablet for the Phillipines

My first thought upon waking was that I must make a little sign for Dad's charity tablet that he gave me to sell at my place of work. And so I did.

It's not very fancy. I originally wanted to draw some native Philippino flowers or something on the sign to make it more attractive (the national flower is Jasmine) but in the end I thought it was more important just to get the tablet out there and selling. Coverage of the hurricane damage has already ceased on the major news channels so it will be dropping out of peoples' awareness levels soon.

It's my day off so after I'd dropped off the tablet I met up with my sister and Gran for cake and coffee in a small cafe that's only recently opened up in our town called Iced Gems. The lady who runs it makes all her own cakes which she's been doing for a long time but now she has an outlet for them.

I had an americano with milk on the side
And a lemon & lime cupcake =)
(Cake for breakfast!)

It comes with a timer so you know when your tea has infused.

My Gran also had a cake but she ate it so quickly I didn't have time to capture it! It was maple & pecan. R.I.P. little cupcake. Your existence was brief but flavoursome.

On a final note, this being my first blog post and all, I thought I'd take a leaf out of the many blogs I follow myself and post a photo of my outfit as humdrum as that may be. I'm proud that I put more thought into it today than the usual: comfy t-shirt, comfy jumper, comfy jeans..

Denim jacket- Levi's
Hoody and vest top- Primark
Leggings- H&M
Men's infinity scarf- Topshop
Black Converse

I was not warm enough! The sun is shining beautifully outside but it is freezing. Unfortunately I can't expect my brain to come up with more than one decent outfit a day (even that's a push) so when I go back out later I'll be wearing the same thing...

P.S. The tablet money is reaching the Philippines in its entirety I have been promised through a charity called Mission International.
